Coca-Cola C2
“Half the carbs, half the calories, all the heart. Rest easy, C2.”
“Cookie for breakfast, joy for a decade, gone too soon — even Korea mourned with you.”
Oreo O's arrived in 1997, the brainchild of an Ogilvy & Mather NYC advertising employee and brought to shelves by Post Cereals. It was exactly what it sounds like: Oreo-flavored O-shaped pieces you could legitimately call breakfast. In 2001 it got even better, with a new recipe featuring real creme filling, and an Extreme Creme Taste variant added Oreo filling-flavored marshmallows for the truly committed.
In 2007, the cereal was discontinued everywhere except South Korea, which quietly kept the dream alive for a decade. Then in May 2017, Post announced it would restart production that June — indefinitely. A rare happy ending in this line of work, though the ten dark years remain in our records.
