Angry Birds Stella arrived in September 2014 as the second spin-off from the Angry Birds series, built around a character first introduced in the Seasons level set Back to School. It followed Stella leaving the flock for Golden Island, where she and four friends set out to stop Gale and her army of pigs from pilfering golden items and a treasured photo album. Rovio threw in a Telepods toy line and a television series
But the vacation ended quickly: the game was discontinued on September 8, 2015, barely a year after launch. What remains is the memory of a spin-off that dared to give Stella her own island, her own friends, and her own story — even if the album was archived mid-journey.
