The seventh-generation iPad Mini, marketed as the iPad mini (A17 Pro), arrived on October 23, 2024, in Space Gray, Starlight, Blue, and Purple. It kept the same beloved design as its sixth-generation predecessor — which was discontinued that very day — but packed in an upgraded processor, improved connectivity, and support for the Apple Pencil Pro.
Its end came gently: on October 26, 2026, the iPad Mini (A17 Pro) was discontinued alongside the announcement of the iPad Mini (A20 Pro). The little tablet bowed out the classic way — not because it failed, but because its successor had arrived. The iPad Mini line carries on in its image.
